We Teach Parents

Your Child Is Using AI.
Your Home Is the First Line of Defense.

We teach parents the same AI curriculum we teach kids — but with a parent's lens. You'll learn what AI tools your child is using, what the risks look like, how to set up a safe home learning environment, and how to keep your child within ethical guardrails.

What to Watch For

The Risks Are Real.
But You Can Stay Ahead of Them.

We teach you exactly what to look for — and what to do when you find it.

AI-Enabled Cheating at Home

Kids are using AI to write homework, complete projects, and answer test-prep questions without actually learning. You need to know what this looks like — and how to have a productive conversation about it, not just a punitive one.

Watch for:

Homework completed unusually fast
Writing that doesn't sound like your child
Reluctance to explain their work out loud
Unfamiliar vocabulary or overly formal tone

Deepfakes & Synthetic Media

AI tools can generate realistic fake images, videos, and voice recordings. Kids are being targeted with fake content — and sometimes creating it themselves. Parents need to know how to verify what's real and what to do when it's not.

Watch for:

Images or videos that 'don't look right'
Your child upset about something they saw online
Requests to keep AI-generated content secret
Sudden changes in social behavior

Privacy & Data Sharing

Many AI tools ask for personal information, and kids often share without thinking. Some tools store conversations indefinitely. Parents need to know which tools are safe, which aren't, and how to set household rules around data sharing.

Watch for:

Using AI tools without parental knowledge
Sharing personal details in AI chats
Using AI on school accounts for personal tasks
Downloading unfamiliar AI apps
Setting Up a Safe Home

Five Steps to a
Safe AI Home Environment

You don't need to be a tech expert. You just need a plan. We walk you through each step — from household policy to monitoring tools to open conversations.

01

Establish an AI Acceptable Use Policy

Just like screen time rules, your household needs an AI policy. We'll help you build one that's specific, enforceable, and age-appropriate.

02

Choose Safe, Age-Appropriate Tools

Not all AI tools are built for kids. We'll walk you through which platforms are safe, which require parental accounts, and which to avoid entirely.

03

Set Up Monitoring Without Surveillance

There's a difference between monitoring and spying. We'll show you how to stay informed without destroying trust — and what to do when you find something concerning.

04

Create an Open Conversation Culture

The best protection is a kid who comes to you when something feels wrong. We'll teach you how to talk about AI in a way that keeps the door open.

05

Know the Ethical Guardrails

Every Airhead Institute student takes the Ethical AI Pledge. We'll teach you what it covers so you can reinforce those guardrails at home.
